If there is a recipe for staging successful event, then it is most surely in safe keeping with the organising committee of the The 24th AGL Nyngan Ag Expo. There is a little bit of something for everyone and that’s how the committee envisaged it from the very beginning.

2016 becoming the ‘best ever’ with over 30 new exhibitors, there is the Rock climbing wall for both the young and the young at heart, three new vendors in the Aussie Country Catering Food & Wine Marquee,

The AGL Nyngan Ag Expo drew record crowds in 2015, with thousands enjoying the chilly sunshine and exhibitions on Saturday 2 nd . Despite the weather gods testing the resolve of everyone with a chilly wind but, glorious sunshine nearly 4,000 patrons attended and provided a great atmosphere for well over 250 site holders

This annual event has helped to put Nyngan on the map as a place to visit and is a great credit to all those who have worked hard through the years to build the status of this event to its present level.

Exhibitors, sponsors, organisers and the general public have declared the 2015 AGL Nyngan Ag Expo another success for this small western NSW community.

“We’re all ag people around here and we get to see all the new technology but importantly it’s specific to the area” said Peter McKidd, a sheep exhibitor and member of the Ag Expo’s committee, “this year’s sheep stud exhibition had 38 studs attending and a further 8 associated companies, each year funds raised go back into the town and its people and it a wonderful feeling of achievement when everything comes to fruition” said Peter.

Chairperson Rod Dewhurst, described the day as one for the community as a whole, “it’s not just the event that benefits from the day, it’s also most of the businesses, the motels and hotels are all booked out, service stations and food markets have influx of patrons” He said” the effort put in by the committee and the volunteers was phenomenal and added much to the smooth running of the event.

Under the guidance of a volunteer committee this expo day is dedicated to raising funds for community groups within the Nyngan/Bogan area. The biggest beneficiary to date has been the local branch of Can Assist in 2014”.

“This year sees the majority of funds going towards the newly established Country Education Foundation – Nyngan, which will assist students from the Bogan Shire achieve their dreams to attend University or other further education studies” said Rod.

There was something for all ages, live country entertainment, by local Royden Donohoe in Aussie Country Catering “Food & Wine Marquee” free, craft activities for the kids including the always popular Animal Nursery which was packed with excited young children for most of the day
